I have frizzy, curly hair and even though I love to sometimes let it go crazy, I do love the feeling of having soft silky hair after blow drying.   A good blow-out can last several days but it’s pointless having to go get it done in a salon when it’s easy to do it as home! Sure, air drying your hair might be natural and healthy, but if you learn to blow dry your hair with the right techniques and products, you can actually improve the quality of your locks without excess damage. As a hair stylist I always encourage my clients to learn more about their hair texture and how to manage their hair at home

Just remember:  Once you have washed your hair, towel dry slightly by wrapping the towel around your hair and giving it a good squeeze.  This will prevent split-ends and frizz.  Then let your hair air dry for about 5-10 minutes before putting in your hair oils/leave-in conditioner or heat protector.  I love Moroccan Oil, Argan Oil, and Macadamian leave-in Conditioner!

After blow drying, always finish with a cold blast of air to lock in the shine.

Now go swing your fabulous locks around town!

Have an awesome Monday!

[…] It has been a long summer and our hair needs a good treatment after being scorched by the sun.  Ever since I had a horrendous chemical hair treatment a few years ago where I nearly lost all my hair, I make it a priority to tell every woman I know about all the hair products I love and which ones to avoid.  The Brazilian Blowout hit the market by storm but many were worried about the effects of the formaldehyde in the treatment.  To make you feel better there are other alternatives! This video shows a healthy “at home” treatment that I use called the “ISH Rescue Ionic Treatment” which I discovered about two years ago.  I love how it makes my hair super silky and soft.  It was also named one of the most highly-recommended hair care procedures by In-Style Magazine and also known to be the secret of the celebrities.  This is the perfect treatment for brides having a destination wedding and fear that their hair may frizz!
